Who we are

ThinkInFrames was created by Braydon Cottrell with one goal: to make photography accessible to everybody, regardless of skill level.

Whether you’re picking up your first camera or trying to grow your creative voice, this space was built to help you learn in a simple, friendly, and practical way.

I started ThinkInFrames after seeing how many beginners felt overwhelmed by complicated explanations, expensive courses, and communities that were hard to break into. Photography shouldn’t feel exclusive or intimidating. It should be something anyone can learn, enjoy, and grow in.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Beginner-friendly guides written in plain language

  • Step-by-step articles that explain foundational concepts like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO and many others

  • Real examples and demonstrations you can follow with any camera

  • A growing community where photographers can learn from each other

  • Spotlights on creators who deserve recognition and inspiration

ThinkInFrames isn’t just about teaching. It’s about building a creative home for people who want to think deeper, shoot better, and connect with others who love the craft.

Whether you’re here to learn your first settings, share your work, or find inspiration from others, I’m glad you’re here.

  • Founder

I fell in love with photography in the 5th grade. My art teacher at the time, and now good friend, James Ramos has always been an inspiration to me. I hope to share my passion for photography for others like he did for me, thus ThinkInFrames was born.
